The mission of the Order of Preachers is to preach the Gospel to the world. As former Master of the Order, Damian Bryne once wrote, "To be a Dominican is to be a preacher."

Dominicans are called to preach in whatever manner available, from formal homilies to telling stories to children. The work that Dominicans do, such as in social justice and peace, embodies the bringing of the message of the Gospel to life in today's world. Preaching is the supreme act of faith and faith makes a home for the Incarnation.
